Overview

Our client is a private credit investment fund with approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management, headquartered in Rye, NY. The fund focuses on credit opportunities across a broad range of strategies, including non-sponsored and sponsored direct lending, structured credit, asset-based lending (ABL), and select real estate-backed transactions. The team operates with a lean structure and targets 15%+ IRR across its investments. The fund is seeking a Vice President / Principal-level investment professional with 5+ years of experience to play a key role across the full investment lifecycle. This includes originations, due diligence, execution, and post-close portfolio management. Ideal candidates will have a background in private credit, with experience in non-sponsored lending or opportunistic credit strategies. Key Responsibilities

Lead and support origination efforts, including sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities. Drive underwriting and due diligence processes across a variety of deal types. Oversee transaction execution, including structuring, documentation, and closing. Manage post-close portfolio monitoring and performance tracking. Work closely with senior leadership in a flat, entrepreneurial environment to shape investment strategy and team development. Candidate Profile

5+ years of experience in private credit, direct lending, structured credit, or related fields. Strong investment judgment and ability to assess complex capital structures. Proven track record of executing transactions and managing portfolio assets. Experience with non-sponsored lending and opportunistic credit strategies. Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced, and collaborative team setting. Seniority level
