We are seeking a skilled
NetApp consultant engineer
with hands-on experience in
AFF installations, configurations, and migrations . This role involves hands-on deployment, troubleshooting and support of AFF systems across multiple global locations as part of a dedicated refresh and migration project. The consultant will play a key role in implementing and supporting NetApp AFF systems, collaborating with engineering teams and ensuring seamless migration activities. Automation and scripting familiarity will be valuable, as the role includes enabling team members to
interact with Ansible scripts and playbooks
to streamline deployments and configurations. Location: Cupertino, CA. Engagement: Full-time Professional Services (PS) resident position based in Cupertino, CA. Duration: 12 months. Involves extensive global coordination, travel, and direct customer interaction. NOTE:

Perform on-site installation and configuration of NetApp AFF (All Flash FAS) systems Conduct system migrations and assist with global tech refresh activities Provide basic troubleshooting and diagnostics for AFF hardware and ONTAP issues Execute break/fix tasks, escalating complex issues when necessary Collaborate with local and remote engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and migration processes Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with stakeholders and project teams Document installation steps, configuration details, and support resolutions Qualifications
Proven experience with AFF system installation, configuration, and migration Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and configuration principles Hands-on experience with break/fix support and issue resolution Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including international assignments Preferred Qualifications
Ansible automation experience, including scripting and playbook interaction Basic knowledge of Arista and Cisco switches; experience configuring or troubleshooting network connectivity is sufficient Familiarity with automation and scripting concepts for operational efficiency AFF series experience, particularly with newer A1K systems, is highly desirable Exposure to virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) Previous experience in Professional Services or customer-facing consulting roles Additional Information
