Overview
Speechify is the easiest way to listen to the world’s information. We build the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify’s product experience across platforms. This is a role for someone who enjoys the intersection of product and infrastructure, designs clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience. What You’ll Do Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope to get faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK. Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. An Ideal Candidate Should Have Systems thinking: end-to-end design with a belief that simplicity is valuable. Speed: ability to generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now versus what needs time. Focus: thriving in a high-growth startup with a remote team, balancing collaboration and heads-down work. Collaboration: ability to work with designers, marketers, and PMs in a constructive, collaborative manner. Preferred Tech Stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform); prior experience with GCP is a plus.
