Memebox, pronounced “Mee-mee-box”, is a multi-brand Korean beauty and personal care company backed by over $200M in funding from leading investors including Formation 8, Goodwater Capital, Johnson & Johnson, Pear VC, and Y Combinator. With the U.S. office based in Los Angeles and the headquarters in Seoul, Memebox develops and manufactures all products in Korea — bringing the latest K-beauty innovations to the world. Our award-winning portfolio includes Kaja, I Dew Care, I’m Meme, and Nooni, and we’re proud to partner with global retailers like Sephora, Ulta, and Target to make K-beauty more accessible than ever. The Role We’re looking for a hands-on, creative, and results-driven Influencer & PR Marketing Manager to lead and scale Memebox’s creator and communications strategy across the U.S. This person will own influencer marketing, PR, and creator partnerships — driving awareness, EMV, and brand storytelling for Memebox brands: Kaja, I Dew Care, I’m Meme, and Nooni. The Manager will oversee the full influencer ecosystem from strategy, seeding, and paid campaigns, while managing an external PR agency and mentoring an Influencer Marketing Coordinator. This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of marketing, brand, and retail and is perfect for someone who loves both the creative and analytical sides of beauty marketing. This role reports to the Head of Marketing, North America, and collaborates cross-functionally with Retail Marketing, Brand Development, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and our global brand teams in Seoul. Memebox operates with a startup mindset and we value flexibility, ownership, and a “no task too small” attitude. Influencer Strategy : Build and execute an always-on influencer marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and EMV across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. PR Oversight : Lead U.S. PR strategy and execution in partnership with our external PR agency — overseeing pitching, media outreach, press mailers, and brand storytelling to ensure alignment across all communications. Team Leadership : Manage and develop the Influencer Marketing Coordinator — providing direction, feedback, and mentorship to ensure best-in-class execution across seeding, reporting, and campaign management. Creator Partnerships : Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with top-performing and emerging influencers. Oversee the full lifecycle — from outreach and briefing to shipping, content approvals, and performance tracking. Paid Campaigns : Manage paid influencer activations and UGC content for social ads, retailer pages, and brand campaigns. Brand Ambassador Programs : Shape and lead ambassador initiatives that foster long-term creator relationships. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with retail marketing, social, e-commerce, and brand development to support launches, campaigns, and key retailer moments. Budget Management : Own influencer and PR budgets, negotiate deliverables, and ensure timely payments. Performance Reporting : Analyze influencer and PR metrics weekly, providing insights and actionable recommendations. Product Seeding & PR Mailers : Oversee product seeding strategy and execution; coordinate PR mailers, influencer gifting, and special send-outs with Supply Chain. Event Support : Support in-person influencer events, PR activations, retail partnerships, and brand launches as needed. Global Collaboration : Partner with HQ teams in Seoul for cross-market influencer and PR initiatives; attend occasional after-hours meetings when required. Qualifications 5–7 years of influencer or PR marketing experience, preferably within the beauty industry (color cosmetics and/or skincare). Experience managing direct reports and external agencies, with a collaborative leadership style. Proven track record of growing EMV and earned media through influencer and PR programs. Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and media landscape. Strong communication, organization, and project management skills. Experience managing paid influencer budgets and PR retainers. Proficiency in influencer and media monitoring tools (e.g., CreatorIQ, Tribe Dynamics, Upfluence). Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus points for these: Experience leading integrated influencer + PR campaigns for retail-led (omnichannel) brands. Knowledge of paid media, SEO, and content optimization. Strong copywriting or creative briefing skills. Existing influencer, editor, and agency relationships in the beauty space.
