Position Summary
Program Coordinator I
- Under direct supervision, coordinates all activities and functions of a program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates activities and daily operations of a program.
May prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
Confers with staff and others to provide technical advice, provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Refers inquiries to others as needed.
May prepare or assists in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
May review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
Drafts written communication and promotional literature.
May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
1 year of related experience
Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy, both orally and in writing
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Schedule:
Fulltime, Hybrid, Monday-Friday. This position is based in Boston, but may occasionally include our other Ophthalmology Offices in Waltham, Needham, and Mass Eye & Ear Boston with advance notice as department or physician need arises.
