About The Role: We are looking for a strong, passionate, and energetic Search leader to drive growth and strategic oversight across the paid search department with a focus on working on our largest accounts and serving as an SME on LLM optimization for organic and paid synergy. This role emphasizes a hands-on, cross-functional leadership style in a fast-growing, innovative digital agency focused on client performance and ROI. Responsibilities

Report to the SVP, Head of Search and lead a team including SEM channel specialists (Paid search, YouTube, Demand Gen, PMax, Shopping, and App) and Account Leads, managing client partnerships, contract negotiations/ renewals, and onboarding, in addition to SEO specialists. Act as a Search thought leader capable of adapting to the changing landscape. Demonstrate recent experience in SEO/GEO or AEO/AIO and direct experience optimizing for LLMs across paid and organic search. Develop and operationalize a GTM approach for LLM optimization. Oversee content and tech audits for organic search; monitor SEO performance and visibility. Drive revenue from new business, client relationships, and client growth; serve as an escalation point for top clients and participate actively in pitches and scoping with the growth team. Present Paid Search and organic strategy, performance, and priorities to clients and internal stakeholders; collaborate with cross-channel leads on media plans, forecasting, testing, and reporting. Lead search strategy, innovation, and testing across your book of business; develop quarterly/annual roadmaps to advance accounts with latest trends. Present QBRs, planning presentations, and testing plans; lead client calls from a paid search perspective. Forecast, budget, and analyze diminishing returns; manage and mentor a team from Account Managers to Directors; oversee training and retention. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, career pathing, coaching, and performance feedback; sponsor senior client relationships and guide holistic digital strategy. Ensure team-wide training, development of POVs, award submissions, and case studies; collaborate with Google, Bing, and vendor partners on alpha/beta opportunities and best practices. Operationalize processes and drive adoption across team focus areas; support building a positive hybrid working culture. Qualifications

12+ years of Paid Search experience. Experience communicating with senior clients (VPs to C-Suite). Experience managing Paid Search budgets of at least $1MM+ in monthly ad spend. Recent experience optimizing to LLMs across paid and organic search; strong organic and paid search background. Experience directing strategy in D2C or Retail, B2B, and B2C across multiple verticals; plus for YouTube, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Value-Based Bidding, offline conversions, and CRM integrations with Google Ads. Advanced slide and data skills (Excel/Google Sheets); experience presenting strategies to marketing executives and large teams. 5+ years of management experience with at least 3 direct reports at Associate Director level or above. Experience with bid management platforms (SA360, Skai, Marin, etc.) preferred. 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
