Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client on a strategic initiative to modernize and scale their data architecture to support advanced analytics and AI-driven investment processes. This engagement requires a dynamic, hands-on Solutions Data Architect to design and implement a robust data ecosystem that integrates diverse sources, ensures compliance, and enables intelligent decision-making. The architect will play a critical role in shaping the architectural blueprint for a next-generation Data Factory and Knowledge Graph, driving innovation and operational excellence across the enterprise. Responsibilities

Identify and integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources. Design logical data models and role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks to ensure compliance and data lineage. Document business transformations and establish data quality approaches, rules, and governance standards. Create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog and register data assets with metadata, focusing on sensitivity and security. Design the architectural blueprint for the Data Factory, covering acquisition, preparation, and consumption layers to support automated investment processes and AI-driven analytics. Implement a Neo4j-powered Knowledge Graph as the central data layer for investment intelligence, enabling traceability and linking research, strategies, and portfolio actions into a lineage graph. Develop and maintain a multi-dimensional asset ontology for flexible categorization and cross-dimensional analysis. Architect adaptive schema evolution using AI-driven feedback loops and genetic algorithm principles. Integrate temporal versioning for time-aware queries and historical context preservation. Enable thin-pointer architecture for scalable integration with large datasets without duplication. Incorporate GraphRAG to transform unstructured documents into queryable graph entities with source attribution. Implement property-based access control for secure, multi-tenant data visibility and query-level protection. Oversee real-time data ingestion pipelines for structured, unstructured, and operational data sources. Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with expertise in enterprise-scale solutions. Proven experience designing and implementing Knowledge Graphs (Neo4j preferred) and data integration strategies. Strong understanding of RBAC, data governance, metadata management, and compliance frameworks. Hands-on experience with GraphRAG, ontology modeling, and AI-driven schema evolution. Familiarity with real-time data ingestion and large-scale data processing pipelines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Experience in financial services or investment analytics environments is a plus.
