Overview
Our client is a cutting-edge sports betting and analytics startup based in San Francisco. We’re helping them hire a DevOps Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a remote role, but candidates must reside within the Pacific Time Zone to support real-time collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing Kubernetes at scale, deploying infrastructure via Terraform, and supporting ML workloads in AWS. As DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in scaling infrastructure that supports real-time data pipelines for fantasy sports, betting platforms, and enterprise partners. You’ll collaborate directly with data scientists and engineers to build intelligent automation, robust CI/CD pipelines, and optimized cloud systems. Hands-on DevOps engineering focusing on Kubernetes and container orchestration. Manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, RDS, etc.) and related services. Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or Terragrunt. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins). Support ML workloads and data pipelines in AWS; collaborate with data scientists and engineers. Participate in on-call production support in a 24/7 environment. Tech Breakdown

5+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, or SRE roles Strong experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, etc.) Proficient with Terraform or Terragrunt for infrastructure-as-code 5+ years working with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Deep CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins 2+ years of scripting/programming in Python or Go Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, and cloud security Previous experience in 24/7 on-call production environments Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience supporting machine learning pipelines or MLOps Understanding of advanced statistics or analytics workflows Startup or high-growth environment experience Personal interest or experience in sports data, betting, or fantasy The Offer & Benefits
