Administer, design, and maintain computerized databases in a client/server environment. Project long-range requirements for database administration and design in coordination with other managers in the information systems function. Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advise users on access to various client/server databases. Design, implement, and maintain complex databases considering JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Apply knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL). Perform database programming and support systems design, including maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design. Required Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access. At least three (3) years hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Experience working on multiple operating systems and with additional programming languages. Experience in at least two projects in a large organization administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases. Certifications
Relevant database certification such as MCITP DBA, MCITP DBD, MCSE:DP, MCSM:DP, or MS SQL Server 2012. DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II COMPTIA Security+ CE Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) Certified Network Defender (CND) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Education

Locations: Remote – must be available to attend periodic in-person meetings in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Type of environment: Remote Noise level: Medium Work schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday. May be required to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. Travel: Less than 10% Work Authorization / Security Clearance
