Overview
Liquids Project Engineer II, Transporter - Lunar Permanence at Blue Origin. This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Moon landers and related products. The project will support Blue Origin's mission of enabling millions of people to live and work in space by building sustainable infrastructure for transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to oversee the liquids subsystems for one of our Lunar spacecraft. The position requires strong project management skills and experience with aerospace fluids and thermal systems. The Project Engineer will manage the integration of subsystems from definition and interfaces through conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operations. This includes providing comprehensive oversight across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and decommissioning. You will guide Responsible Engineers through each phase and work with Managers over each subsystem while developing tools and processes to manage the subsystem development. Provide project leadership of a team tasked to develop, build, test and deliver a Liquids system Work with program and team leaders to define contractual and customer deliverables Develop program plans in collaboration with managers to meet milestones and deliverables Create program plans in P6 Primavera Manage progress of the collaborative team toward objectives; manage requirements and scope changes in Jira Evaluate cost and schedule performance; communicate performance, risks, opportunities and recommend changes to improve Ensure delivery of program and contractual level products Coordinate with suppliers and Blue Origin groups to align hardware delivery with vehicle schedules and program milestones Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, or related disciplines 3+ years engineering and project management experience Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM Experience making dashboards and other tools to help manage project teams Experience with project scheduling software packages (MS Project, P6 Primavera, Open Plan, etc) Experience with Agile project management methodology and JIRA software Experience using risk management tools and processes Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with imaginative and detailed problem-solving Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with Fluids or Thermal hardware PMP certification or other project management training Experience managing development projects (schedule, budget, scope) Experience with P6 Primavera Experience using financial analysis tools to report on schedule and budget Compensation
