The Clinical Account Specialist (CAS) position is responsible for launching a new indication and future Dermatology pipeline assets in an assigned territory. Responsible for reinforcing the clinical features of the product, engaging and building relationships with clinical decision makers and office support staff, and working with the broader UCB organization to create the best experiences for patients living with severe immunologic diseases. Who you’ll work with
Owning responsibility for attaining territory sales goals and objectives through effective territory planning, visiting clinical decision makers with appropriate reach/frequency, collaborating with the Immunology Clinical Specialist and other members of the UCB Patient Value Team. What you’ll do
Develop a strong understanding of the patient journey of care, including taking responsibility for ensuring needed therapies get to the patient. Offer an outstanding patient experience by communicating clinical information on dermatology products and relevant patient support services to health care professionals and office staff. Establish an understanding of the local health care ecosystems, including the payor environment. Demonstrate the UCB Patient Value Strategy principles by establishing collaborative and team-oriented working relationships within a matrix environment. Comply with all UCB policies and approved messages; coach the team to use approved UCB sales materials and messages with HCPs and external stakeholders. Analyze territory data to build and adapt a customer call plan and establish professional relationships with HCPs and support staff. Maintain understanding of the competitive marketplace and drivers of prescriber decisions. Conduct account-related activities such as profiling, call planning, and reviewing UCB sales data with assigned stakeholders. Make strategic business decisions in managing resources such as financials, samples, and access opportunities. Coordinate and support promotional educational opportunities to expand knowledge of medical stakeholders and staff in accordance with UCB policy. Overnight travel may be required depending on the territory for meetings, conferences, and events. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) Minimum of 3 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or healthcare industry Valid Driver License with no more than 2 moving violations in the previous three-year period Must reside within assigned geography Preferred Qualifications
5 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or healthcare industry Experience calling on Dermatologists in the assigned geography Experience selling injectable biologics products Proven track record of success in Pharmaceutical Sales evidenced by goals/awards (e.g., President’s Club) Biologic product launch experience Strong business and strategic planning skills to identify selling opportunities and adapt to market conditions Understanding of managed care landscape and its influence on business Compensation
This position has a reasonably anticipated base salary range of $128,000 to $168,000 per year. Final offer depends on geographic region, experience, and other factors. About Us
