Overview
A prestigious international law firm is seeking a Paralegal II – Litigation & Trial to join its Washington, D.C. office. This role supports the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group, providing hands-on case support in all phases of litigation, from discovery and document management to trial preparation. Base pay
$90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr This range is provided by Buchanan Legal Professional Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys and senior paralegals on patent litigation matters from case inception through trial. Coordinate and assist in the discovery process, including managing e-discovery platforms and reviewing documents for production. Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and related filings in compliance with court and procedural rules. Assist with PTAB petition filings, responses, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with USPTO and procedural standards. Extract and analyze relevant IP data from official USPTO databases and Google Patent. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information while managing case materials and records. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred. 4+ years of Paralegal experience, with at least 2 years supporting patent litigation. Strong knowledge of federal and state filing requirements, e-discovery, cite checking, and Bluebooking. Demonstrated experience with patent terminology, PTAB proceedings, and IP-specific document preparation. A proactive, highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
