Seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Engineer to develop and improve assembly processes for efficient, high-quality production. This role works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards. Location
Chicago, IL Key Responsibilities
Design and improve assembly/test processes and tooling. Implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste. Support daily production and troubleshoot technical issues. Train technicians on new processes and safety protocols. Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability. Develop tools and plans for new product launches. Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration. Drive quality improvements and corrective actions. Support Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. 5+ years in manufacturing or assembly engineering. Proficient in CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and other manufacturing standards. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen preferred. Work Environment
