Citizenship and Background
U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract obligations, along with the ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation.
Required Experience
5 years of experience in cybersecurity concepts and risk assessment/management methodologies.
5 years working with technical subject matter experts.
5 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
10 years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Forms).
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Security+ or CISSP or related cybersecurity certification.
Responsibilities
Translate complex cybersecurity concepts and risk management methodologies into clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to gather and convey accurate, high-impact information across communication channels.
Develop and manage content for reports, presentations, briefings, and internal communications related to cybersecurity initiatives, risks, and strategies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align messaging and ensure consistency across projects, departments, and stakeholders.
Navigate fast-paced environments with competing priorities, managing multiple communication tasks and deliverables simultaneously.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to create polished communication materials.
Utilize SharePoint to manage, organize, and share documents, collaborate on team projects, and track tasks.
Ensure content meets organizational standards for clarity, tone, and technical accuracy, adapting for technical and non-technical audiences.
Apply foundational knowledge of cybersecurity and relevant certifications to communicate technical risk, compliance, and security topics.
Leverage a background in English, Journalism, or technical fields to produce compelling narratives that support cybersecurity awareness and engagement.

Salary
The salary range is a general guideline and not a guarantee. The expected range is $78,900 – $105,000, determined by skillset, experience, education, location, and other non-discriminatory factors. Benefits are described above. Valiant reserves the right to adjust salary range, requirements, and responsibilities at any time.
Remote Work Policy Remote work requires a high level of trust. Employees should have a quiet, distraction-free workspace with adequate internet, and be available during working hours. Cameras may be required during virtual conferences. Employees must disclose any outside employment and obtain written approval. Outside business during core hours for Valiant or clients is not allowed.
