This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. The role focuses on improving efficiency, embracing innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Provides subject matter expertise and consulting on a range of technologies; assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure solutions comply with enterprise design and engineering standards

Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies

Assists in evaluating reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose

Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes

Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption

Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps resolve organizational impediments

Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains

Designs and implements centralized observability and monitoring/alerting solutions in AWS

Position Summary

Design and implement centralized observability and monitoring/alerting solutions in AWS

Manage AWS Cloud backup and recovery solutions for critical infrastructure

Assist with implementation of AWS Cloud Security policies and guardrails

Create and maintain Terraform IaC to ensure architectural consistency and security

Design and implement best practices for operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, efficiency, and cost optimization for AWS

Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting in AWS

Ability to design and implement data delivery from AWS to monitoring tools

Operational processes and routines: strong adherence to controls, risk management, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Inter-personal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team

Identify inefficiencies and implement improved solutions; plan capacity and resource expansion for scalability

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of full software development lifecycle experience

Hands-on experience with Kinesis Firehose, Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, S3

1+ year experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation

1+ year experience with Bitbucket

1+ year experience with CI/CD tools (CodePipeline, CircleCI, Jenkins)

1+ year experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, AWS Systems Manager)

1+ year experience with artifact repositories (Artifactory, AWS ECR)

Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure

High proficiency in Python

Cloud operations and DevOps skills

Shell scripting

Desired Qualifications
