Your Responsibilities: As a Primary Care Medical Assistant at Fast Pace Health, you'll provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure optimal patient care under the guidance of a Primary Care Provider. Your role will include: Clinical Duties: Triage patients by checking and recording vital signs and clinical histories. Prepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring readiness for patient intake. Assist in patient assessments, examinations, and minor procedures. Monitor patients and document any changes in their conditions, responding appropriately. Conduct lab tests and perform phlebotomy while managing specimen labeling and handling. Provide wound care and perform suture removals as required. Carry out DOT, BAT, and Drug Screen exams. Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality throughout procedures. Maintain positive relationships with team members and contribute to a cohesive environment. Administrative Duties: Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations. Maintain accurate and updated patient records. Organize patient charts for upcoming appointments and manage scheduling. Perform follow-up calls and respond to messages from patients in a timely manner. Assist providers with ensuring proper patient follow-ups. Help manage inventory and order medical supplies as needed. Participate in compliance training and knowledge of patient-centered care. Job Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
