Job Title: Mechanical Assembler (2nd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated mechanical assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in various departments, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to grow. This role involves assembling hatches and panels using hand and power tools, preparing panels for painting, and packaging completed assemblies.
Responsibilities
Assemble hatches and panels using hand and power tools, including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torques, and tape measures.
Work from blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
Prepare panels for painting by installing insulation and hanging panels on hooks.
Package completed assemblies and fulfill orders.
Cross-train in various departments to provide support as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 6 months of mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Competence in reading a tape measure.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use power tools.
High school diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with torque tools and mechanical assembly.
Familiarity with automotive or oil change procedures.

Work Environment
This role operates on a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM, and Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mandatory overtime may occur on Fridays from 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with occasional Saturday shifts possible. The work environment is a metal manufacturing setting, similar to an auto body shop. Employees must wear pants (no sweats or athletic wear), short-sleeve shirts or longer, and steel-toed boots. This is a non-union shop.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
