$115,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr A client of Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our global finance team. This individual will play a critical role in managing revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, supporting audits, and preparing key financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of revenue accounting, experience with NetSuite (especially the Advanced Revenue Module), and a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally across departments. Responsibilities
Contract Review & Revenue Recognition (50%): Review incoming contracts for revenue impact, including material rights, termination clauses, and potential delays. Ensure accurate entry and setup of contracts in Intacct. Apply ASC 606 principles using a structured checklist to assess revenue recognition criteria. Maintain documentation for contract reviews and revenue decisions. Reporting, Controls & Compliance (50%): Perform SOX controls and support internal and external audits. Prepare and analyze revenue metrics including ARR, MRR, and other operational reports. Collaborate with FP&A and billing teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Support process improvement initiatives and future automation of revenue workflows. Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a global environment. Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles. Experience with NetSuite, especially the Advanced Revenue Module and Order-to-Cash workflows. Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Exposure to working with sales, legal, and billing teams is preferred. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); scripting experience is a plus. Employment type
