Lead Software Development Engineer in Test role at
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) . This position emphasizes automation development, functional and non-functional testing, and collaboration to ensure software quality while addressing privacy and security requirements. Your Impact
As a member of the IT CSS-Equities Delivery team, the Lead SDET designs, develops, executes, and maintains automated tests for critical business flows, ensuring extensive test coverage across upstream and downstream touchpoints. Primary Responsibilities
Design, create, maintain, and implement end-to-end test scenarios/cases for modernization initiatives with extensive coverage of critical business flows and integrations. Design, develop, integrate, and execute automation suites for end-to-end flows to enable reusability and faster post-production testing. Understand business requirements, application functionality, release scope, and system integration specifics. Identify and resolve defects and continuously improve the software testing process. Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes. Stay current with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. Understand and apply industry-specific guidelines and standards. Articulate business value and translate requirements into concrete testing results. Coordinate with testing partners for cross-application and cross-business testing scenarios. Note:

Proven experience of 5-7 years with automated functional and integrated tests. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Talents Needed for Success
Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination. Strong experience with automated testing and at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.). Knowledge of Databases and SQL; understanding of end-to-end integration testing, smoke testing, functional and non-black box testing. Familiarity with software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Java/Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, CloudBees, Jira). Experience with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing and JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/DB2/Snowflake).
