Our jobsite solutions include ground protection, spill containment, wheel chocks, hazardous materials storage, hazard signage, emergency response kits, and safety training resources. What You’ll Do
The Motion Safety Business Unit Controller will oversee financial performance and provide strategic insight as we transform the Motion Safety business. The role includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and operations finance activities, and requires partnering with the Motion Safety leadership team to drive improvements. You will report directly to the Director of Finance with a dotted line to the Business Unit General Manager, with opportunities for advancement within 3–5 years. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting: prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; provide insights to Senior Leadership to drive key decisions; ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards; consolidate group statements. Budgeting and Forecasting: develop and manage the budgeting process; monitor performance against budgets and forecasts; provide improvement recommendations. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: ensure compliance with local, national, and company-wide fiscal policies; coordinate with Tax for relevant tax positions. Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning: provide analysis to support strategic decision-making; evaluate capital investments, M&A, and other initiatives; build forecasts and strategic plans. Operations Finance: partner with Senior Leadership to develop and track operations KPIs; oversee standard cost roll; monitor cost variances and inventory activity. Internal Controls and Risk Management: implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets; mitigate financial risks through analysis and controls. Team Management and Development: lead and mentor the finance team; foster a culture of continuous learning. Stakeholder Communication: communicate performance and forecasts to senior leadership; act as strategic partner to the BU General Manager; collaborate across functions to address inefficiencies. Systems and Technology: oversee implementation and integration of financial systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Your Skills And Expertise
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management and reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance; cost accounting and plant variance drivers. Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Syteline). Advanced Excel proficiency. Additional qualifications that could help: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities. Entrepreneurial spirit and autonomy. Ability to coach and develop staff; strong collaboration skills. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Project management experience and ability to meet deadlines; willingness to work overtime as needed. Proactive collaboration on cross-functional projects. Compensation
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $170,000. Actual base salaries vary by location, experience, and performance. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company and unit targets. Benefits
