Senior Property Underwriter/Underwriting Specialist

MSIG USA is growing and seeking qualified professionals to contribute to a profitable property underwriting business on a nationwide basis. Responsibilities
Select and underwrite complex property risks within delegated underwriting authority. Review applications and requirements to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines and standards. Conduct due diligence, including review and analysis of financial documents and risk factors. Apply appropriate pricing techniques per company filings and state/bureau conformance. Monitor underwriting results, premium and loss trends within the assigned book of business. Deliver quality service to brokers and customers within service metrics for new, renewal and interim requests. Develop and cultivate broker and client relationships in the assigned territory. Work with brokers and clients to create customized insurance solutions. Source new business opportunities through a strong broker and client network. Prepare or analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status and declinations to drive results within the territory. Document accounts in accordance with regulatory and internal underwriting guidelines. Plan and conduct producer and client visits (in coordination with Risk Engineering, Claims and Marketing) to maintain and grow new business. Enhance technical expertise in Industrial and Global property underwriting and assist in training and development of department staff. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required 7+ years of related multi-line underwriting experience Existing producer relationships preferred Demonstrated negotiation and production skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is
$110,000 - $215,000
