Overview
Due to tremendous case volume, a three-hospital health system headquartered in the Southwest is excited to recruit a neurovascular neurosurgeon to its flagship hospital. New grads and those with experience are welcome; mentorship is readily available for new trainees! This is a Level III Primary Stroke Center with over 500 beds. The hospital will likely move to Level II designation by July 2026. The medical center has earned the Great Gallup Workplace Award for the past 13 years, the only hospital to win this international award 13 years in a row. It is a nonprofit hospital, committed to investing profits back into the hospital for purchasing equipment or expanding facilities. Practice Highlights
Call will be 1:5 for general neurosurgery and 1:3 for neurovascular. Call panels can be stacked. Call is highly consultative in nature; there are three APPs that serve as hospital floats. In addition, each surgeon has an APP dedicated to their practice Medical draw is a 24-county service area Two stroke neurologists are on staff Those with neurovascular interests will share call with a neurovascular neurosurgeon and an INR on staff. Both are very supportive of another neuro-interventionalist hire Full coverage intensivist program 125 cases anticipated in year one with more than 250 once established 30% of neurovascular cases expected at the onset with the opportunity to grow to 50% once established Equipment includes an O-Arm, and Stealth navigation for spine and cranial cases Biplane with angiosuite on site Attractive base plus RVU bonus structure About the location
