Your Role at Baxter
As the Director, Corporate Strategy & Transformation, you will enable enterprise-wide transformation through centralized program tracking, reporting, and risk escalation. You will support the Transformation Lead in delivering business-critical objectives, ensuring accurate executive visibility, and integrating inputs across workstreams. You will bring analytical rigor, communication clarity, and execution discipline in Baxter’s environment. A key focus of this role is optimizing the business to ensure focus and investment of resources on the highest growth priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic Leadership / Transformation Office Leadership: Partner with the Transformation Lead to shape and evolve the transformation vision and roadmap. Translate strategic priorities into clearly defined workstreams, KPIs, and ownership structures. Ensure prioritization of initiatives aligns with enterprise goals. Drive synthesis and storytelling across transformation efforts to support executive decision-making and alignment. Program Management and Cross-Functional Execution: Lead the development and maintenance of centralized dashboards and reporting tools to track progress, risks, and benefits realization. Integrate initiative updates across workstreams into a cohesive portfolio view. Monitor portfolio-level progress across budget, timelines, and delivery milestones; escalate cross-cutting risks and issues as needed. Maintain documentation integrity, version control, and audit readiness. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with project managers, workstream leads, and senior leaders. Serve as a liaison between TMO leadership and workstream teams to clarify expectations, align priorities, and elevate risks or resource needs. Facilitate governance forums, including Transformation Steering Committee meetings and executive reviews. Provide strategic support as needed. Change Management and Communication: Identify and mitigate risks and resistance to transformation initiatives. Synthesize complex data into clear narratives that drive buy-in. Continuously improve communication tools and processes. Partner with workstream teams and leadership for project reporting, risk tracking, and decision inputs.

The role is located at our global corporate headquarters in the greater Chicago, IL area (northern suburb of Deerfield). Baxter supports flexible work arrangements through a policy that includes a required minimum number of days onsite. This policy supports in-person collaboration while complying with local laws and requirements. Baxter may adjust this policy as business needs evolve.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 5 - 9 years experience in project/program management, transformation leadership, or enterprise PMO Proven experience managing end-to-end transformation reporting cycles (planning, execution, post-review synthesis) Experience supporting high-level governance forums (Steering Committees and executive reviews) through structured preparation and delivery Ability to lead integration of updates from multiple workstreams into a cohesive portfolio view Familiarity with benefit realization tracking, budget alignment, and delivery milestone monitoring at the enterprise level Adept at identifying reporting risks or gaps and escalating issues promptly Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving reporting requirements from leadership Strong data handling, reporting, and transformation office toolset knowledge Clear communicator with ability to engage cross-functional teams Experience in enterprise reporting, transformation support, or change initiatives Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple priorities Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights for senior leadership Experience developing dashboards, reporting templates, and governance materials for executive forums Experience facilitating portfolio-level reporting cycles and version control across distributed teams Track record of improving reporting processes and tools to meet evolving transformation needs
We understand compensation is important. The estimated base salary for this position is $192,000 - $264,000 annually. The range may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
