Atrium Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our well-established urology practice in a welcoming urban community. Work alongside three experienced urologists supported by an exceptional staff and a loyal patient base. This is a 5-day/week posting with occasional weekend and holiday call. Location:

$46.55 - $69.85 per hour Responsibilities
Outpatient and multidisciplinary pediatric urology care as an independent healthcare provider working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team. Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic urologic conditions. Provide care within scope of practice as outlined by state law, licensing, regulations, institutional policy and practice agreements. Credentialing and privileging required. Major responsibilities span clinical knowledge, patient care, practice-based learning, communication, professionalism, and systems-based practice as outlined in the detailed role description. Outpatient responsibilities include comprehensive or episodic health histories and physical assessments, establishing medical diagnoses, medical management, and postoperative follow-up as appropriate. Inpatient responsibilities include daytime hospital consultations and rounding; potential to assist in the Operating Room; limited overnight and weekend call shifts; bedside procedures as needed. Perform procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice, including but not limited to video urodynamic testing, catheterization and related procedures, bladder irrigation, bedside incision and drainage, suturing, and other procedures under supervision. Qualifications
Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with eligible or current licensure and privileges per Atrium Health requirements. Experience in urology is preferred; demonstrated knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation and epidemiology of urologic conditions. Ability to perform and document comprehensive histories and physicals, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop/adjust plans of care. Strong communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
