Overview
This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period, every two weeks) position with a 12-hour DAY shift, on variable days of the week including holidays and weekends.

We invite you to join our highly dynamic Venous Access team of Nurses.
The RN Venous Access Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. In addition, they are responsible for:
Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients progress towards expected outcomes.
Evaluates institutional needs to ensure optimal patient venous access.
Plans, develops and implements strategies, interventions and training to ensure desired outcomes.
Develops and maintains competency records for advanced vascular access skills.
Plans, develops, creates, and implements strategies for ongoing educational needs of hospital staff.
Plans, develops, creates, implements, and maintains policies governing the use, insertion, care and maintenance of Central Lines and IV therapy. Supervises and/or precepts new RNs for Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line insertion.
Plans, develops, creates, implements, and maintains documentation and QA for insertions, outcomes analysis, and requirements for maintaining qualified clinician competency.
Qualifications Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Prefer ultrasound venous access and micro-introduction experience.
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
0-1 year experience in PICC insertion and venous access device troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to demonstrate position-related behaviors.
Required Certification/Registration:
Current California RN License.
Current American Heart Association BLS-C provider.
PICC insertion certificate.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or the equivalent.
Successful completion of a formal nursing PICC Line insertion educational course.
