Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department. Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care. Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff and the medical team. Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care. Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures in accordance with current rules and regulations. Qualifications
Must possess a valid unencumbered RN state license. Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center, or other related healthcare setting. Experience in supervision and teaching; ability to guide and mentor staff. Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents served. Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to care. Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and familiarity with laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities. Benefits
