Overview
The Safety and Risk Control Officer will be responsible for administering A1’s health and safety programs, consistent with established Company policies and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. The Safety and Risk Control Officer will provide strategic loss control guidance to management, assess risk across A1’s multiple sites, train workforce on safety procedures and requirements, and ensure safety programs are being followed.

Responsibilities
Conduct on-site risk assessments and safety evaluations across multiple worksites.
Develop and implement loss control strategies to mitigate workplace hazards and reduce claims.
Schedule, coordinate and deliver safety training to workforce; maintain training documentation and attendance records
Audit the workplace for hazards, develop solutions to eliminate those hazards, communicate the solution to other employees and evaluate progress as the solution is implemented.
Coordinate effective weekly safety briefings with field personnel
Investigate personal injury accidents to determine cause and methods to prevent recurrence
Prepare incident and accident reports for review by Management and as required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies
Work with A1’s Workman’s Comp Coordinator to record workers compensation cases and communicate with affected parties; maintain WC records
Work with field personnel to ensure tools, equipment and fleet are in proper working order.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, and industry-specific safety standards.
Current certifications to conduct folklift, scissor lift, boom lift, fall protection, trenching, and DIP classes and training preferred.
Proficient in writing Activity Hazard Analysis
5+ years in safety industry or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Adaptable to new technologies
Strong oral and written communication
