Overview
The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services. We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high-quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve. Position
We are currently looking for qualified candidates to join MNHC as an On-Call/As Needed Registered Nurse. Please note: this role requires an applicant to be bilingual (English/Spanish). This position reports to the Senior Nurse Manager and is Exempt with a starting hourly range of $45.50 with full benefits. Primary Objective
The On-Call Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care and will assist in establishing a clinical team approach to comprehensive medical care and provide continuity of care to MNHC patients at multiple locations. Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Coordinates patient flow in clinical area. Responsible for obtaining and recording accurate medical information and history. This includes the following:
Checking patient charts Checking encounter forms, prescriptions, lab and X-ray requests Completing disability, CHPD, and other medically related forms Maintaining tracking systems and follow-up reports/requests Initiating health maintenance and prevention procedures
Assesses initial health needs of patients and prepares them as indicated or as condition warrants Provides medical treatment as ordered and performs procedures according to MNHC nursing protocol Prepares and administers medication as ordered Responsible for triage/emergency and medical screening of patients in charge area Provides patient education and counseling Provides telehealth visits, including hospitalization pre and post discharge planning Attends and participates in nursing staff meetings as needed Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations Core Competencies

Qualifications
Valid California Registered Nurse license Two years' experience in ambulatory care clinic or hospital experience is preferred Previous experience in HIV care, clinic or hospital experience is preferred Performance - Able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines. Requires strong analytical skills and demonstrates attention to detail Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
