Co-Founder (AI/ML) — UC Berkeley Students Only
We’re
Rhinovate , building an AI-powered 3D experience that lets rhinoplasty patients and surgeons preview outcomes and the healing journey. We already have an MVP — now we want to
level it up ,
build production-grade software , and
train/improve our models . We’re
currently negotiating our first fundraise . Role Work alongside the co-founder to take the MVP to production: strengthen the 3D/computer-vision stack, scale the app, and run model training/experiments that measurably improve accuracy and UX. What you’ll do Upgrade core modules: 3D face capture, mesh manipulation, outcome/healing simulation, on-device UX. Build data & ML pipelines (ingest, labeling, augmentation, synthetic data where relevant), plus evaluation/benchmarks. Train and tune models (diffusion/NeRFs/meshes), optimize inference, and set up lightweight MLOps. Harden the product: instrumentation, error tracking, privacy-first design, deploys, and rapid iteration with user feedback. You might be a fit if you have Experience in one or more: 3D CV (reconstruction/pose/segmentation), generative models, AR (ARKit/ARCore), or iOS/Android. Solid Python; bonus for C++/Swift/Kotlin and backend (FastAPI/Firebase/AWS/GCP). You love shipping, measuring, and iterating — not just writing papers. Commitment & location ~10–15 hrs/week during the semester (flex around exams); more during sprints. Exclusively for current UC Berkeley students
(EECS/CS/Data/BioE/MEng/MIDS welcome). We value diverse perspectives and encourage all genders/identities to apply. How to apply with: (1) résumé/LinkedIn, (2) GitHub/portfolio, (3) 3–5 bullets on a build you’re proud of, and (4) your weekly availability.
