Overview Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Schedule: Full-Time, 36 hours weekly, rotating shift
Unit: 30-bed unit providing care for high-acuity patients across complex specialties, with cardiac telemetry monitoring and possible ventilator support. On-site Nurse Educator. Acute/Critical Care training available for nurses new to the acute inpatient population.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care.
Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of the patient.
Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
Administer medications, provide education, and monitor efficacy and side effects.
Assess, monitor, report, and record patient condition and important changes.
Design, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
Minimum Licensure / Certification
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN or MSN preferred. If BSN is not held at hire, the employee must enroll in a basic professional nursing degree program within 12 months of hire.
Current RN licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Proficiency in nursing skills with computer and audiovisual applications; strong English literacy; good eye-hand coordination.
Ability to analyze, synthesize information in a fast-changing environment; strong problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and work well with individuals and groups.
Pay Range $37.88 - $54.19 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary by location.
