Overview
Director of Business Development - Home Health. CHRISTUS VNA HomeCare, a division of LHC Group, is looking to hire a Director of Business Development (DBD) to lead growth and achieve revenue, census, and start of care budget goals. This role leads the execution of the Sales and Marketing plan to build relationships with referral sources and support organizational growth. Location: San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area Responsibilities
Hires, directs, trains and supervises the sales team at the agency level. Coaches employees to overcome objections and work toward growth goals. Supervises and monitors growth and health of the sales team in their defined territories. Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and provides in-services and education to the sales team. Communicates with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding prospective and current patients. Performs direct sales to key accounts. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with referral sources, patients, families, healthcare professionals, and the community to promote hospice care and support for patients. Assists the Director of Admissions in overseeing the referral to admissions process to achieve growth goals. Manages conflict and resolves complaints as needed. Develops an agency business plan with volume projections to drive financial performance. Understands key drivers of revenue, admissions and length of stay; designs strategic sales strategies to achieve growth. Utilizes basic sales processes to uncover customer needs and barriers. Plans, directs, organizes and coordinates educational events, health fairs and community programs. Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all policy and procedures. Maintains compliance by documenting accurately and timely in the organization’s electronic health record. Demonstrates the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred. At least three years’ experience in healthcare sales preferred. Knowledge of hospice care preferred. Company Overview
