The Epic Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (BID) will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other analytics solutions using Epic Cogito tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical background, extensive experience with Epic Clarity/Caboodle data models, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions within healthcare settings. Gather and analyze reporting requirements from various stakeholders across Northwell Health. Design, develop, and test reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Epic Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Metrics). Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models. Collaborate with Epic application teams and other analytics teams to ensure data integrity and consistency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic reports and reporting tools. Develop and maintain documentation for reports and dashboards. Stay current with the latest Epic Cogito features and functionalities. Mentor and train other team members on Epic Cogito reporting. Contribute to the overall success of Northwell Health's Epic transformation project. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Epic Cogito certification(s) or proficiency (Cogito Tools Administration, Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity, Caboodle, etc.) is required for the role. Extensive experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, including certification. Experience in working with clinical data within the Epic environment. 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, analytics, or data management. 5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cogito, Power BI). Strong SQL development skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Skills
Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts. Experience with data visualization best practices. Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and regulations. Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization. Job Details
