As a Cellular RF SoC System Definition Program Manager within the Hardware Technologies Engineering organization, you will be driving the translation of system definitions to RF silicon implementation. This is an individual contributor role, helping lead the development process for Cellular SoC silicon used in groundbreaking Apple products. Responsibilities
Drive RF, Modem and Standardization teams to generate RF Transceiver requirements to meet Platform definition. Drive exploration activities needed for next generation RF Transceivers together with RF Architecture and Design Teams during early phases of Silicon-on-Chip design: Pre-Concept, Architecture, IP Pre-Development, TestChip definition. Pull together project status presentations for multi-functional executive review, focused reporting and communication of program risks & status. Work on a Program Management team responsible for driving to meet daring product schedules. Focus Architecture teams on meeting near-term achievements by pulling together the right technical expert(s) towards data driven decision-making. Minimum Qualifications
BS in engineering field and 10+ years relevant experience. Experience in complex Cellular RF Systems, 3GPP Requirements. 5+ years in Technical/Project Management or leadership role. Preferred Qualifications
Practical knowledge and experience with various cellular standards. Proficiency in cellular 3GPP standards (LTE, 5G NR FR1/FR2/FR3, 6G) and UE-related radio link specifications. Extraordinary teammate and creative problem solver who is able to lead technical teams, multi-functional groups and vendors against plans. Excellent communication, presentation, social, and leadership skills. Ability to tailor information to the right audience, including executive management. Experience working in a dynamic multi-functional engineering environment, strong at multi-tasking, and real-time crisis management. Expertise owning and driving project development. Experience working with RF systems and leading cellular projects from product idea to production. Good knowledge of Analog/Mixed signal/ RF design process, tools/flows and methodologies and SoC/chip design life cycle. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
