Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator where you will apply your expertise in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and fitting/fabrication. You will be responsible for assembling structural forms such as machinery frames and parts using fabricated, cast, and forged components.
Responsibilities

Identify universal weld symbols and various materials.

Set up and operate welding equipment efficiently.

Layout, position, align, and fit components together accurately.

Read and interpret work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and schematics.

Visually inspect completed welds to ensure adherence to specifications.

Perform air arc gouging when removing welds or preparing weld joints.

Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Accurately cut, clean, de-burr, and prep parts for welding.

Utilize rigging and operate crane/jib effectively.
Essential Skills

3-5+ years of MIG welding experience.

Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Strong fitting and fabrication skills.

Comfortable performing spray arc welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in an industrial fabrication shop working with large-scale parts.

Ability to read and understand weld symbols.

Familiarity with metal-cored wire/flux core welding.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic fabrication shop during the day shift from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday. Be prepared for exposure to fumes or airborne particles and occasional interactions with moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
