Overview Tax Senior Manager or Director - T&E [Trust & Estate] at CohnReznick. Hybrid/remote-friendly role focused on Trust & Estate work within the National Tax practice, with potential involvement in 1040/1041 work. This position is located within the National Tax Team and collaborates with technical experts.

Responsibilities

Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns;

Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates;

Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes;

Read & summarize estate planning documents, and advise on federal and state income and death tax treatment;

Research and consult on estate, gift and trust issues (trustee/beneficiary matters, estate administration tax impact, generation-skipping tax, etc.);

Generate opportunities within existing clients and pursue new clients;

Prepare and present technical training to specialty group and core tax department;

Manage client relationships and supervise a team to complete engagements from start to finish.

Your Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax is a plus

CPA or JD required

Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, including high net worth clients

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm

Strong tax research skills

Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a collaborative team environment

Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
