Your Team This position is situated within our National Tax Team and will focus on Trust & Estate work, along with the potential to help with 1040/1041 work as well. You will partner with other technical experts within the tax field and have the opportunity to learn and develop at a rapid pace!

Your Role

Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns

Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates

Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes

Read & summarize estate planning documents, as well as provide guidance on both federal & state income and death tax treatment

Research and consult on various estate, gift and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, tax impact of estate administration, and generation skipping tax issues

Help generate opportunities within existing clients, as well as meeting with and pursuing new clients

Prepare & present technical training to specialty group and core tax department

Have responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships

Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax is a plus

CPA or JD is required

Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a public accounting firm

Strong tax research skills

Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment

Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills

Additional Information CohnReznick is a hybrid firm; most professionals are located within a commutable distance to an office. This position is remote, which means duties need not be performed near an office, but you may be required to be present at an office with notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
