Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Senior Clerk in the Continuing Education and Workforce Development office. This in-person position reports to the Assistant Director of Workforce Development. The tentative schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Answering phones. Support non-credit offerings including; non-credit registration, instructor contracts, assembling class packets with proper documentation and ensuring delivery to instructor prior to class start, contacting instructors to verify class set-up requirements and copying needs, reserving and arranging set-up of rooms for classes held on-site, maintaining statistical reports, compiling and tracking payroll information for instructors, inputting courses for catalogs, and assigning course numbers for new offerings. Handle state paperwork for courses such as Five Hour Class, Driver Education, Infection Control and Security Guard classes. Process waivers for SUNY Broome employees.

Requirements:

One year of clerical experience. Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

Additional Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $18.42.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
