Job Description:
As a
Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate
you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our Primary Care location in Edison. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management and communicate with accuracy, quality and timeliness. Must be able to travel to other locations.
Core Responsibilities :
Take and record vital signs and EKG Prepare patients for examinations and retrieval of radiology images when needed electronically to have prepared for MD review Room patients Obtain and update patient medication lists and assist with review of systems updating Administer Injections or assist with wound review under guidance of Surgeon Assist with biopsy/surgical coordination Utilize EMR System, Microsoft Teams, Excel and Additional Hospital EMRs Customer Service (greet patients and engage with providers/staff/vendors) Check In (register patients) Check Out Scheduling, admissions, and procedures Insurance Verification (collect co-payments and referral) Medical Records (Email/Fax/Postal) Inbox (Front Desk/Personal) Review Patient Forms Applications (Email, MS Word, EMR, willow glade /g4/ Navinet) Inbox (slide request) Scheduling progressive (active/inactive) Check out with services Care space/Telemed troubleshooting Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Medical office experience (1 year preferred) Requirements :
Certified Medical Assistant Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary (1 year preferred) Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Must be willing to travel to other locations
