Overview

Job Title: Network Security Engineer The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure that supports and protects our client's corporate network and cloud environments. This person will partner with compliance, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure secure and reliable connectivity between devices and systems. Responsibilities

Fortinet product suite (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) ZTNA platforms (Cato Networks, Zscaler) Cloud networking and security fundamentals (Azure, AWS) VPN technologies (IPsec site-to-site, SSL VPN) Access Control Lists (ACLs), Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRFs), and VLANs Linux operating systems and command line interface (CLI) Penetration testing tools (e.g., Kali Linux) Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute) Qualifications

CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on network engineering experience Two-year degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting Experience creating detailed network diagrams Proficiency in direct CLI configuration of network devices Background implementing cybersecurity best practices on network infrastructure Familiarity with ZTNA concepts and architecture Capability to investigate and resolve network connectivity issues and security incidents On-call availability, primary contact for networking, sometimes during off-hours Must be local to Durham; hybrid schedule Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
