Senior Electrical Design Engineer role at Matic Robots. You will lead the design of critical PCBs and subsystems of our products, working with hardware, software, and product teams to realize the vision of full home autonomy. Own end-to-end design and manufacturing of critical PCBAs in the system Subsystem design and prototyping, component selection, schematic capture, prototype bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification, and signal characterization Board layout of PCB assemblies including SoCs, microcontrollers, rugged connectors, sensors, power devices, etc. Electromechanical integration through collaboration with mechanical and firmware engineers Develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate the product for its lifetime Work with contract manufacturers to ensure proper production of PCBAs and subassemblies, potentially coordinating on the production line when needed What We Look For
Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 4+ years of professional electrical design experience on a product (preferably a consumer product) that has shipped in high volume Previous ECAD experience with tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent Experience with common digital protocols including I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout Experience with verifying and validating functional requirements of the electrical systems Exposure to regulatory certification processes Supply chain management and PCBA contract manufacturing experience Comfort with fast-paced, startup atmosphere -- you don’t shy away from the hard work High level of maturity, ownership, and pride in your work We'd love to hear from you if...
