Oversee all aspects of external financial reporting as the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and quality of financial reporting, with deep expertise in technical accounting and SEC regulations guiding the organization through complex financial matters. Manage SEC and technical accounting matters in partnership with internal teams and third-party experts; implement best practices to build first-class processes. Subject matter expert on US GAAP and SEC regulations for the preparation and filing of SEC reports; apply related authoritative literature to public company reporting. Prepare technical accounting memos and analyses as needed. Lead coordination and preparation of quarterly and year-end external financial reports, including quarterly earnings releases, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and related press releases and earnings scripts. Prepare and/or review technical accounting items such as stock-based compensation, warrants, EPS, equity roll forward, and cash flow statements. Own certain SOX controls and assist Investor Relations with materials for investor engagement. Provide technical accounting training to finance and accounting teams to ensure strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements. Lead and develop a high-performing team with a focus on continuous learning in a fast-growing public company environment; collaborate across functions to achieve objectives. Foster proactive relationships with key stakeholders, including external and internal auditors, Legal & Compliance, IT, HR, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Engineering. What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred. CPA (Active) required. 10+ years in technical accounting and SEC reporting roles, preferably within publicly traded companies; proven leadership of financial reporting processes. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations. Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask; independent problem solver who can handle ambiguity with accuracy and speed. Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders; clear communication of technical accounting issues. Strong time management and organizational skills; proactive work ethic and ability to work under pressure. Ability to develop and mentor a team to meet objectives and deadlines; high attention to accuracy and completeness. Experience managing multiple priorities, cross-functional collaboration, and tight deadlines; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with accountability and collaboration. Bonus Qualifications
Strong ability to drive continuous improvement of processes. Experience in evolving environments with multiple priorities. Experience with major ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), with SAP strongly preferred. Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) for SEC filing; proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace. Note:
