Overview
The City of Cambridge is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Community and Economic Development Director. This role involves working with business owners, supporting community growth, and marketing the organization. The position will directly supervise the building department and manage economic development functions, including TIF, BRE programs, marketing strategies, and related activities. This role is an integral part of the city’s efforts to support economic vibrancy and opportunity. Responsibilities
Directly supervise the Building Department. Manage economic development functions including Tax Increment Financing (TIF), BRE programs, and marketing strategies. Support the city’s efforts to foster economic vibrancy and opportunity. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, business administration, or related field. At least three years of relevant experience with responsibility for community and/or economic development issues. Knowledge of public/private sector financing and tax laws, rules, and regulations. Preferred: Master’s degree in the above fields and/or specific certification and training such as the National Development Council (NDC) or Certified Economic Developer (CED). How to Apply
