Pediatric Dermatologist: Assistant/Associate/Professor of Dermatology (HS Clinical or Clinical X) Location: UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco and Mount Zion Outpatient Clinics Position Description: We are seeking a board certified or eligible pediatric dermatologist with demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching and scholarship for a position in the Department of Dermatology and at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. Primary responsibilities include patient care in pediatric dermatology outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary clinics, and inpatient consultation including inpatient call coverage. Clinics will be located in San Francisco at Mount Zion and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay. In addition to clinical care, applicants should anticipate an active role in teaching, scholarship, leadership and service. Responsibilities
Provide patient care in pediatric dermatology outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary clinics, and inpatient consultation, including inpatient call coverage. Engage in teaching across learners from medical students, pediatric and dermatology residents, and fellows (bedside, formal and informal teaching). Pursue scholarship in clinical, educational or translational areas; participate in and present at local, regional and national meetings. Mentor clinical care, scholarship, leadership and teaching; participate in administrative operations of the division of pediatric dermatology. Actively serve on divisional and departmental committees as encouraged. Qualifications
Board certification in Dermatology and board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dermatology by time of appointment. Ability to diagnose and manage complex pediatric dermatology outpatients and inpatients including inflammatory, vascular, infectious, pigmentary, congenital and acquired diseases. Basic surgical procedural skills and laser surgery are required. Experience working with vulnerable and underserved patient populations is preferred. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700-$405,900.
