The Associate Director of Lifecycle & Retention Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of Pique’s customer lifecycle initiatives. This role is responsible for building a best-in-class retention engine that maximizes LTV, subscription growth, and loyalty across our DTC ecommerce business. You will own CRM, email, SMS, loyalty programs, and customer journeys—bringing together customer insights, creative storytelling, and data-driven strategies to deliver personalized, high-performing campaigns. This leadership role requires a proven track record in scaling subscription-based ecommerce businesses, with a strong focus on customer retention, churn reduction, and lifecycle innovation. Responsibilities
Lifecycle Strategy & Execution
Develop and own Pique’s lifecycle marketing strategy across email, SMS, push, loyalty, and on-site experiences. Architect customer journeys across acquisition, onboarding, retention, and winback to maximize LTV and engagement. Lead segmentation and personalization strategies informed by data, testing, and customer insights. Partner with creative and brand teams to deliver resonant messaging aligned with Pique’s luxury positioning and wellness lifestyle. Define KPIs for retention and lifecycle marketing performance; report results and continuously optimize campaigns. Subscription Growth & Retention
Drive strategies to increase subscription adoption, reduce churn, and enhance subscriber satisfaction. Collaborate with product, performance marketing, and CX teams to optimize the end-to-end subscription experience. Test and scale retention tactics including loyalty programs, rewards & referral programs, and surprise & delight initiatives. Cross-Functional Leadership
Develop and manage cross-functional promotional campaigns that align with the editorial calendar Partner with performance marketing, product, data, and creative teams to ensure lifecycle efforts align with overall growth objectives. Foster a culture of testing, learning, and excellence. Manage external vendors and platforms to ensure operational excellence and innovation. Qualifications / Experience
7–10+ years of CRM, lifecycle, and retention marketing experience, with direct experience scaling a DTC ecommerce subscription business (required). Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in retention, churn, and customer LTV. Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, ESPs and analytics tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, Google Analytics, Looker). Expertise in building and optimizing customer journeys, personalization, and segmentation strategies. Data-driven marketer with experience running A/B and multivariate tests at scale. Strong leadership skills with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams. Excellent communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
