Reviewing individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff and/or seniors for accuracy Researching and drafting memoranda involving complex tax matters Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities Handling and resolving tax controversies Overseeing complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required At least 5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff Excellent analytical and technical tax skills Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail Ability to travel as needed Locations
Based out of one of the following offices: East Brunswick, NJ; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Orlando, FL; Princeton, NJ; Providence, RI; Red Bank, NJ; San Francisco, CA; or Whippany, NJ. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation varies by location. For California, New Jersey, New York City, or Rhode Island, see below. In addition to base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
