The Vice President – Asset Based Finance Origination assists Senior Transactors in originating, structuring, and executing debt solutions for Citi’s Commercial Banking Clients. Based in New York / Los Angeles, the ideal candidate will: Support new asset-based deal opportunities with an analysis of capital structure, borrowing base, credit profile, market comparables, and industry research Develop targeted prospecting lists; join Senior Transactors in client and prospect meetings to develop and sustain enduring relationships Assist in the creation of pitch materials; screen opportunities; propose appropriate structures; work alongside Underwriting to green light transactions; draft and negotiate term sheets with clients (interfacing with legal counsel); work with underwriting partners to help shepherd internal approvals; negotiate legal documentation and manage an efficient closing process Interface with banker coverage and other partners to coordinate execution of transactions and meet deal timelines Develop strong partnerships with internal constituents within the Independent Risk, Syndication, and Coverage teams; maintain credibility with key stakeholders Exhibit business and credit judgment and provide balanced assessments in collaboration with internal teams Maintain a strong attention to detail and complete work within assigned timeframes Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Asset Based Finance Bachelor’s degree FINRA Licensing - SIE, Series 63 & 79 (current or ability to obtain) Skills
Strong financial, analytic, and credit skills Experience in working with complex capital structures Team player, able to facilitate strong partnerships Excellent written and presentation skills Details
