Corporate Controller — Full-Time Salary: $100k-$125k + Bonus & Full Benefits Package Company Overview: Our client is Florida’s leading provider of school and commercial transportation solutions. As the state’s exclusive Blue Bird bus distributor, they serve school districts, contractors, and fleet operators across Florida with sales, service, and parts support. Their mission is to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative transportation solutions that keep communities moving. Position Summary
The Corporate Controller is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions across the company and its business divisions. Reporting directly to the President, this role ensures accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong accounting systems and teams that support operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory control Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial procedures Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management review Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance with external partners Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital requirements Provide financial insights to guide operational and strategic decisions Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7–10 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience Prior experience in dealership, transportation, or multi-entity operations strongly preferred Deep knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., CDK, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar) Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Strong communication abilities and integrity in financial stewardship Compensation & Benefits
