Consulting - Business Transformation - Life Sciences R&D - Manager What You’ll Do

Our Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value. This manager will lead and manage client engagements, build solutions, and drive innovation in the market. You will work with large pharma, biotechnology, academic medical centers, health systems, cancer centers, and more. You will spend most of your time focused on providing client services in areas including strategic planning, business transformation, organizational structure and operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, complex data analytics, research compliance and regulatory affairs, and technology implementation support. Responsibilities

Manage and support client engagement teams across the life sciences domain, delivering professional services. Skills and Attributes for Success

Comprehensive understanding of R&D processes, terminology, and challenges across preclinical, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and quality and safety functions Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail on complex, multi-task projects Demonstrated leadership to inspire and motivate teams and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture Curiosity and proactive approach to deepen knowledge of evolving scientific, technological, and business trends in R&D Advanced quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills with evidence-based insights Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences including senior executives Professional demeanor that builds trust with clients and internal teams Ability to understand client needs, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver value through collaboration Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining quality Ability to work within diverse teams and coach junior colleagues Comfort navigating ambiguity and fast-paced consulting environments Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health, or related field 5-7 years of relevant experience in life sciences and/or health in an R&D setting, including prior management consulting experience Understanding of key R&D functions including preclinical, clinical trial execution, regulatory affairs, and quality or safety Experience managing complex projects or initiatives with teams of at least 3-5 people Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured consulting methods Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize issues into actionable insights Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Executive presence and professionalism in client-facing settings with senior stakeholders Willingness to travel based on project requirements Ideally, you’ll also have

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in life sciences, business, public health, or related field Experience supporting R&D transformations, operating model design, or process optimization Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GxP, ICH, FDA) and compliance in R&D Familiarity with R&D tools such as CTMS What We Look For
