$80,000 - $90,000 per year (base pay range provided by Nelson Connects; actual pay based on skills and experience) You are
a professional Revenue Accountant responsible for the timely processing and coding of a high volume of customer billing and cash receipts, as well as preparing revenue-related journal entries and reports in accordance with GAAP. The Revenue Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and excellent communication across departments. What you will be doing
Download and track daily bank transactions in Excel, researching and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate month-to-date cash records. Prepare the Daily Cash Report by reconciling cleared transactions, outstanding checks, and anticipated disbursements. Open Finance department mail, route items to appropriate departments, and prepare deposits for checks and cash received. Process all incoming receipts, update shared records in Google Drive/Sheets, flag restricted payments, and complete electronic or in-person deposits. Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox, serving as the main contact for internal and external inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of requests. Reconcile CRM transactions (cash, checks, EFTs, credit cards) against bank deposits and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with other teams. Oversee data integrity and billing accuracy within the Wide Orbit (WO) system, including credit review, collections, and invoice issue resolution. Actively manage collections for outstanding accounts receivable, send account statements and past-due reminders, and document all efforts. Maintain balance sheet analyses of receivable and deferred revenue accounts, investigating discrepancies as needed. Reconcile third-party reports for vehicle donation programs against cash received and prepare journal entries for month-end close. Perform other administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, meeting set-up, and document management. What you bring
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting, with demonstrated accuracy and efficiency. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities under deadlines. 10-key proficiency and solid Excel skills. Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, across platforms such as email, Slack, and Zoom. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of tasks from start to finish. Nonprofit accounting experience preferred. Familiarity with Intacct, ROI, and Wide Orbit strongly preferred. Seniority level
