Our client, a National Property & Casualty Insurance Broker, is seeking an experienced
Sr. Commercial Lines Team Leader – Real Estate Practice
to join their Midtown Manhattan office. This position is open due to growth and requires in-office presence 2-3x per week. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a multimillion-dollar book of business, overseeing the pre- and post-renewal cycle, and leading a team of approximately 4 Account Executives. Responsibilities
Manage 5-8 large, complex Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact Engage in new and renewal marketing, field questions/requests, and conduct coverage reviews Oversee all aspects of the account life cycle: pre-renewal, renewal, post-renewal, and stewardship meetings Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned high-touch, complex Commercial Lines clients Deliver insurance technical expertise to clients and to team members in Account Management and Sales Market and place client Commercial Lines renewals Identify the most appropriate carriers for market pricing Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings Make insurance program recommendations to clients Manage renewal expirations and avoid lapses in coverage Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients Process policies, endorsements, and audits as needed Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts Delegate administrative client tasks to Account Representatives Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner Maintain accuracy in agency management systems Attend frequent in-person client meetings, with and without Sales Executives Engage in regular carrier interaction and face-to-face meetings with underwriters Qualifications
Active Property & Casualty license (REQUIRED) Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred) Extensive Casualty experience 7-10+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience The specific compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and skill set.
